Extended Reality. I do not make VR / Immersive experiences myself — but this medium is often not a solitary endeavour. For years, I’ve been in the deepest parts of this emerging field thanks to the team Atlas V — pioneers in the French XR industry that brought me into their fold just before Covid-19 as I was leaving an emerging contemporary art gallery in Paris. Exhibiting fine art for collectors was soul sucking, but working in digital arts and technology storytelling was exhilarating, empowering, eye opening, and informed so much of how I see the world. This next phase of my artistic journey is reuniting my own identity as an artist (folk, emerging, process-based and collaborative), with XR storytelling. I am deeply interested in inquiries around technology in community, virtual reality in person, embodiment and public tech.

Immersive Story Clubs

Coming soon –> A research, inquiry, art project, praxis, practice. Funded by Agog with support from members of the international XR industry, so far including Unframed Collection and MIT Open Doc Lab, but there are many conversation along the way, under way that are unfolding. So eventually there will be a nice long lists of thanks. This project will be getting off the ground in 2026, but is one that is merging many parts of myself for a great inquiry into the role of immersive storytelling in community. Part of me began this asking, how can I be a conduit for impact? And how can community benefit from immersive technology-based formats? How can these medium and the questions I hold weave into a tapestry of connection that spans regions and mediums? And how can this work be in dialogue with larger questions of ecological imperatives, social cohesion, care and process-based approaches to large scale infrastructure needs that directly benefit those communities that are cut off from ….

Scope creep is real, but this isn’t trying to tackle everything. It is a project that is aware of the stakes — that doesn’t promise perfection or solutions, but doesn’t shy away from the intersections of privilege and oppression that it exists at. This is in DEEP process and is being taken very seriously.

TLDR: Hybrid book/movie/craft club coming soon.
